Hot Beverage / Normal Water - Which one do you drink first?

Most people are habituated to drinking a cup of hot tea or coffee in the morning. However, this might be doing more harm than good to your body

  • Tea or coffee contains Caffeine which is diuretic in nature. It can cause dehydration.
  • The pH values of tea and coffee are 4 and 5 respectively. Hence they can cause acidity. To avoid this, drink a glass of water at room temperature before drinking these beverages. Doing this will control the acid production.
  • Without drinking the water if you continue to drink these beverages, in the long run, you may be at risk of developing heart burns or ulcers.

So, Drinking water is the best thing to do early morning which decreases the chances of heartburn, acidity, Dehydration and headaches by rehydrating the body
